James Gunn has shared a new look at Superman, revealing what actor David Corenswet, 30, will look like as the Man of Steel ahead of the movie’s release next year on July 11, 2025. Critics of the suit say that the new outfit carries many similarities to what was worn by Henry Cavill, who Corenswet is replacing, while others have pointed out how there are some clear differences in play, including a revised logo based on Kingdom Come and what appears to be less form-fitting attire.

Critics are saying:

  • “It’s not bad but why does it look baggy/wrinkly?”
  • “This looks like a g*****n cosplay! Let’s not forget to mention this looks like a bootleg Henry clone!”
  • “I don’t think his mom made this suit for him”
  • “A very strange reveal image, and his suit looks baggy. Idk man”
  • “No Henry Cavill? Who’s this guy?”

Superman also stars:

  • Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane)
  • Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor)
  • Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen)
  • Sara Sampaio (Eve Teschmacher)
  • Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific)
  • Terence Rosemore (Otis)
  • Anthony Carrigan (Metamorpho)
  • Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl)
  • Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner)
  • María Gabriela de Faría (The Engineer)
  • Wendell Pierce (Daily Planet editor Perry White.)

One outlet noted:

This is a unit shot, it’s not an overly produced CGI shot, and it’s indicative of what we’ll see in the film. Not everything is green screen, and that creates an environment that’s significantly better for the actors.
