Riddick: Furya, a fourth installment of the sci-fi film franchise that follows “escaped convict” and “murderer” Richard B. Riddick, is set to enter production this summer, on August 26, entertainment outlets have learned. Vin Diesel, 56, will reprise his role as Riddick in the new movie, which is being written and directed by series staple David Twohy.
The new film follows:
- Pitch Black (2000)
- The Chronicles of Riddick (2004)
- Riddick (2013)
A synopsis for the upcoming installment:
Riddick finally returns to his homeworld, a place he barely remembers and one he fears might be left in ruins. But there he finds other Furyans fighting for their existence against a new monster. And some of these Furyans are more like Riddick than he could have ever imagined.

Might be interesting. The only one I didn't enjoy so much was the 2nd and even though this is going back there it sounds like there could be some good twists.
I liked the others as well. Will definitely be watching this one.
I thought he had given up on making Riddick movies, so I'm glad to get another one, though I recall not caring for the 2013 movie. But what I really want is another Riddick game. EFBB was a fantastic experience, if my memory from 20 years ago serves correct. I never did play the Dark Athena content, but I heard it wasn't as good as EFBB. I'm probably just overdue for a re-play of EFBB. Still, I'd like an all-new game too. Anyways, hope this new movie doesn't suck.
