Sunny Hills, a new mod for Silent Hill 2 that some critics say should be banned for completely altering the atmosphere of Bloober Team’s newly launched remake of Konami’s 2001 survival horror classic, topping off what would normally be dark and cloudy skies with rays of sunshine, is now available for download on NexusMods, creator FrancisLouis has announced. This download is the latest in several mods that have already surfaced on the week of Silent Hill 2’s release, including a first-person mod, fog-removal mod, and even a mod that lets players take control of the original James Sunderland. A launch trailer and dev diary that explores the making of Silent Hill 2’s protagonist can be found below.
Turns silent hill into sunny hills. The night section is not affected; you can keep the fog or remove it. Although, with the fog, it’s a little too bright, to say the least. Installation: Drop the pak file in SHProto\Content\Paks~mods, Create the ~mods folder.

If you don't like it, don't install it.
Problem solved.
Seriously these folks need to stop trying to put their head up someone else's @$$. No one is forcing players to create an account at Nexus or anywhere else that might host this mod and then download and install it. It is also none of anyone else's business what mods other players are installing for single-player offline games.
