MSI has made available two new models to its gaming monitor lineup with the addition of the MPG 322UR and MAG 321UP QD-OLED X24 displays. While there may not be anything exciting regarding new GPUs thus far in 2026, the year is looking to be promising when it comes to new gaming monitors. With 4th-gen QD-OLED panels arriving in 31.5-inch sizes, those wanting to expand beyond the never-ending amount of 24 and 27-inch offerings are finally getting some alternative choices. Both panels are VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified and rated for 97% Adobe RGB, 99% DCI-P3, 138% sRGB color coverage and a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1.

First up, we have the MSI MAG 321UP QD-OLED X24 with a 4th-GEN Tandem QD OLED panel. MSI has coated the display with its DarkArmor Film for deeper blacks and added scratch protection. The 31.5-inch 4K display has a peak HDR luminance of 1000-nits and utilizes Uniform Luminance to prevent sudden aggressive dimming in areas of the screen. MSI has included OLED Care 3.0, which uses real-time detection for waking up the display, adaptive dimming, auto brightness, and color temperature control. Connectivity via DP 1.4a (HBR3) and 2x HDMI 2.1 for up to 4K 240 Hz is provided. A USB Type-C port supports DP Alt Mode with 15W PD.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
