
NVIDIA has kicked off new summertime discounts for its GeForce NOW game streaming service with limited savings of up to 35% on annual plans. This latest promotional event runs through July 8, allowing gamers to subscribe to either the Performance or Ultimate tier plans at discounted rates. The performance tier, which offers streaming at up to 1440p/60 FPS, is being offered with a $35 lower annual fee, bringing it down to $64.99 for one year. The Ultimate Tier, which allows access to RTX 5080 performance and up to 5K resolution, is getting a $70 dicsount, bringing its annual fee down to $129.99 for one year.

NVIDIA is offering these discounts ahead of the upcoming Guild Wars 3 launch next year, confirming it will arrive on GeForce NOW. In the meantime, fans of the franchise can enjoy playing Guild Wars 2 and the first game’s remake, Guild Wars Reforged. We have coverage of these here.

It would seem that just as the console wars have been reignited, game streaming has entered a new era of competitiveness with both NVIDIA and XBOX now reducing their rates to lure more gamers. It will be interesting to see if this has any influence on Sony and for how long these tactics will continue as we near the holidays in the fall.
