Sony Interactive Entertainment has published new reservation application and purchase conditions for PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Limited Edition consoles in Japan, seemingly to ensure that more of the hardware is going to genuine gamers, rather than scalpers who are simply seeking profit. According to one of the conditions that can be found on the official PlayStation site (JP), pre-orders and purchases of the console are limited to players who have a registered PlayStation Network account that has seen at least 30 hours of activity on PS5 or PS4. A look at the console, which is scheduled to be released on Thursday, November 21, 2024, can be found below.

Those eligible to apply for reservations and purchases are limited to those who meet all of the following conditions. Those who use PlayStation Network with a Sony account registered in Japan. The total time that either the PS5 or PS4, or both, is turned on for more than 30 hours in total between Saturday, February 22, 2014 and Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 23:59 while signed in with the Sony account to apply. The Sony account you are applying for must be linked to your My Sony ID and sign-in ID.
