A recent job posting by Rockstar Games, aimed at developing the next iteration of GTA Online, boasts ambitious goals for Grand Theft Auto VI. There’s only roughly nine months to go until Grand Theft Auto VI launches on May 26, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and Rockstar has begun searching for a new team lead to head its online money maker. Grand Theft Auto V already holds the title as one of the most profitable video games in history, and GTA Online has generated more than spare change for Rockstar with its added content and special events, so it makes perfect sense that it would want to ensure the next game is ready for online integration.
From Wall Street to Rockstar’s boardrooms and from media coverage to anywhere there’s a modern gaming console, there are many keeping an eye out for the upcoming release. That being said, Rockstar’s claim that Grand Theft Auto VI will be “the largest game launch in history” may not be as exaggerated a boast as it seems. Don’t worry, though, there’s no pressure or high expectations for anyone thinking of applying to the job post. While more than a few on social media had stated they’ve thrown their hat into the ring for a job that pays $139,100-$194,700, there are some requirements for it.
