Delve into Night City like you never have before with Zero Latency’s untethered free-roam technology and experience the world of Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red is working with Zero Latency VR to create an exclusive adventure based on its popular video game, allowing players and their crews who have access to one of the 150 venues located in 30 different countries to immerse themselves in a uniquely created event.

“You’ve played Night City. Now you live it. Zero Latency VR has teamed up with Cyberpunk 2077 to put you inside the most immersive open world ever built.

Step into a living, breathing 360-degree world where every sound hits like you’re in the thick of it. Feel the rush of becoming a mercenary, work with your mates, and if you’re good enough, become legends together.”

“Experience total immersion as you tackle new worlds and trippy adventures with pinpoint accuracy. Our category first, 360° arena blurs the line between reality and fantasy with totally untethered play. There’s no prior VR experience needed, your host will guide you through every moment from gearing up to your victorious finish.”

Zero Latency’s warehouse-style VR is designed for both individuals and large groups alike to provide them with an arena-sized. Headsets and gear are provided to guests, where they can embark on a shared adventure where each can interact and work together, combating enemies, exploring new worlds, and experiencing VR in a large, safe environment.

“What makes this collaboration special is how naturally it aligns with what we do best. Zero Latency experiences are about freedom of movement and shared adrenaline, and Night City is a world that begs to be explored at a human scale. CD PROJEKT RED are experts in their craft, and we’re looking forward to creating a new, unforgettable adventure”

– Tim Ruse, CEO Zero Latency VR

Those unable to make it to one of Zero Latency VR’s venues can still play the game at home in VR using a custom mode. Two popular mods are Luke Ross’s R.E.A.L VR Mod, which is a paid solution, and there’s a free alternative called VorpX. Generally speaking, it’s been said that CyberPunk 2077′s 1st person perspective has translated well over to virtual reality. No doubt more folks will give it a spin once the Steam Deck launches.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
