Lian Li has been refining its desk-as-PC-case concept for years, and the latest iteration keeps the hardware the same while upgrading what you actually rest your arms on. The DK-07 WOOD launches today with a real walnut wood tabletop in place of the standard brushed aluminum lid, and it hits shelves at the exact same $1,399.99 as the original DK-07 that launched back in November 2024.
That pricing parity is worth noting. If you want the warmth of real wood grain over your build rather than cold metal and glass, Lian Li isn’t charging a premium for the privilege, at least not a separate one.
The DK-07 WOOD is built on the same platform we covered at launch: a motorized standing desk that doubles as an enthusiast-grade PC case supporting single or dual E-ATX configurations, with height adjustment from 676mm to 1162mm via a circular control panel with three preset positions. All the hardware-facing specs carry over, including GPU clearance up to 383mm, CPU cooler clearance up to 180mm, and support for up to two 220mm PSUs.

The WOOD edition swaps the brushed aluminum top for a real wood tabletop in a dark walnut finish, paired with a large tempered glass panel underneath it to keep the hardware visible. To make accessing your components less of an ordeal, Lian Li added a sliding front panel that lets you lift the tempered glass top without fumbling around the edges of a desk-sized piece of glass.
The rest of the workspace integration is carried forward intact: built-in wireless charging pad, dual cable pass-through holes, dual storage drawers, USB Type-A and Type-C front I/O on each system, and an under-desk cable tray with tie points to wrangle power bricks and excess cabling.

In a single-system configuration, you can fit up to a 480mm radiator or as many as four 360mm radiators with up to 17 x 120mm fans. Dual-system builds bring that down to 2 x 360mm radiators and 12 x 120mm fans, which is still more than most people will ever need.
Wood-themed PC hardware has been a genuine trend this year, and Lian Li is leaning into it alongside the rest of the industry. GIGABYTE has been riding the same wave on the motherboard side, launching the X870E AERO X3D WOOD earlier this year, which we reviewed and found to be a fully-loaded AM5 board with a genuinely distinctive aesthetic. GIGABYTE has since followed that up with the X870E AERO X3D DARK WOOD edition, announced just last month, which leans into darker tones and adds details like leather pull straps and copper rivets. The DK-07 WOOD’s dark walnut finish would pair visually with either of those boards in a way that the standard aluminum DK-07 simply can’t match, so if you’re already building a wood-themed rig, pairing the desk to match has never been more feasible.
Lian Li has been iterating the desk as a case for a while, which we covered back in April 2020 when the DK-04F and DK-05F were announced. The DK-04F ran $1,499 and the dual-system DK-05F hit $2,000. We liked the concept enough to actually build one, and the DK-07 WOOD landing at $1,399.99 with comparable or better specs is an improvement on the value side.
If you’ve been sitting on the fence waiting for a version that looks more at home in an actual living or working space, this is probably the one. Between this desk and the wood-aesthetic motherboards GIGABYTE has been shipping, building a cohesive nature-meets-hardware setup is no longer just a mood board fantasy.
