
AMD quietly filled in a gap in its own back catalog by not sending out review samples to any outlet, so we went out and bought one to see the how it performs. The result is the most interesting value question on AM5 right now: we bought a retail Ryzen 7 7700X3D, ran it against the 7800X3D, and the gap in games is small enough that the $120 price difference does most of the talking. Elsewhere the week belonged to boards and chassis, with two ASUS X870E refreshes landing 48 hours apart, a genuinely strange partitioned Phanteks case earning an award, and GamersNexus declining to recommend Fractal’s newest enclosure over Fractal’s older ones.

Phanteks EX5 Max
