ASYNC Performance

This game supports ASYNC Compute on AMD and NVIDIA GPUs.  We just wanted to see if there was any impact at all between toggling this feature “Off” and to “Adaptive.”  We are performing a manual run-through at the beginning of the “Riverside” mission.  There is intense firefights, lighting, fires, explosions, particles, and graphics with plenty of NPCs as we blow through them all.

Firstly, with the GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER above at 1440p, there isn’t any difference at all.  The performance above is within the margin of error for testing real-world run-throughs.

The same is true for the Radeon RX 5700 at 1440p, the results indicate performance is the same.  The results are within the margin of error for testing real-world run-throughs.

The default ASYNC option is “Adaptive” so we suggest just leaving that at its default setting.
