AI continues to weave its way into our lives. Warner Bros. has recently signed with Cinelytic to incorporate their AI in some decisions. Many have reported this would be for green lighting projects but Slash Film has slightly different info on this. According to their source WB’s international division will be using it as an “additive” in deciding release dates. Tobias Quessier and Dev Sen founded Cinelytic to aid in decisions for things such as financing, content development, production and distribution.

From WB’s senior vp of distribution,

” We make tough decisions every day that affect what — and how — we produce and deliver films to theaters around the world, and the more precise our data is, the better we will be able to engage our audiences. “

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
