Need for Speed Heat

1080p Highest In-Game Settings

Need for Speed Heat

In The Need for Speed Heat, we are running the game at the highest in-game settings.  We started with “Ultra” and then made sure every setting was at the highest value.  Performance is good and playable, but there is no difference between 4GB and 8GB Radeon RX 5500 XT performance.  So let’s raise the resolution.

1440p Highest In-Game Settings

At 1440p we have kept the highest in-game settings enabled.  Performance is at unplayable levels, but we see maybe just a small difference.  8GB performance is 4% faster than 4GB performance.  It’s hardly enough to make any difference, but that was the largest difference we saw here.

1440p “High” Preset

To double check performance we lowered the graphics setting to “High” at 1440p.  Performance was exactly the same.  So it does appear there’s a small difference when the game is maxed out at 1440p, but of course that level of performance is not playable.
