TecLab has jumped the gun and published some of its GeForce RTX 3080 tests early. According to benchmark roundups by _rogame and harukaze5719 (via VideoCardz), NVIDIA’s new flagship scores up to 38 percent better than the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti in 3DMark tests such as Time Spy. The GeForce RTX 3080 also eats the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER for breakfast, showing performance gains of up to 64 percent in the Fire Strike Ultra and Port Royal benchmarks.
The 4K gaming tests are looking mighty fine, too. Assuming that TecLab’s work is authentic, GeForce RTX 3080 users can expect a 50 percent or better improvement in many titles. You can check out the specifics for various games (e.g., Borderlands 3) and a copy of the video below (the original has since been removed).
“RTX 3080 has 30% (performance) increase compared to 2080Ti and 50% increase compared to 2080S,” TecLab noted. “Power consumption of the whole machine is 500W.”
