Taking a cue from Luc Besson’s Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, GALAX has set up a virtual reality store for online shoppers called Virtual Show 2020. There are working, clickable links for products throughout the store that take you to official product pages. This isn’t just a demo but also a working storefront.

Surrounding nearly all of the latest graphics card releases have been rumors, leaks, and occasional statements. Tom’s Hardware reported on how it found what could be considered an Easter egg while browsing the shop. If you look closely at one wall, you’ll spot packaging for an as-of-yet unannounced GeForce RTX 3060.

With the generic packaging, it’s obvious that this is some sort of placeholder, but we have had recent rumors about the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti launching in a few weeks. GIGABYTE also listed a GeForce RTX 3060 model on their Watch Dogs: Legion promotional page back in September. Regardless of whether this offering from GALAX is a GeForce RTX 3060 or RTX 3060 Ti, it has been confirmed that the Founders Edition will feature 8 GB of GDDR6 memory.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
