Resident Evil Village’s $1,855 Collector’s Edition Lets You Dress Up as Chris Redfield

Capcom is releasing an extremely expensive collector’s edition of Resident Evil Village for Japanese residents who have 192,500 yen (around $1,855) lying around and wish to cop the latest look of series protagonist Chris Redfield. The “Z Version,” as it’s called, includes a perfect replica of the gray, buttonless chesterfield coat that the iconic character can be seen wearing in various promotional materials for the eighth installment of the long-running survival horror series. It’s also available as a separate purchase for 159,731 yen (around $1,539).

“A full-scale replica coat made in Japan using a thick and light top heavy melton fabric is a resized model (M, L, XL) based on the original costume created for ‘3D’ scanning, with the image of everyday wear,” a translation on the Capcom store reads. “In addition, we have prepared all 4 sizes of ‘Chris original model’ that reproduces the original model. The coat will be delivered in a special box.”

The Resident Evil Village Collector’s Edition Z Version also comes with various other collectibles, such as a box of 1/6-scale equipment miniatures based on various guns and items from the game, a 30-page replica of Mia’s Village of Shadows picture book, and a Chris Redfield figurine.
