Application Benchmarks

Memory Bandwidth

Now we are going to start some application benchmarks on this motherboard. To start us out, we are going to use Aida64 and take a look at some different memory bandwidths. These first tests were running the memory at 3200MHz.

As we can see from the above image, all 4 of the boards reviewed were pretty close with the MSI B550I pulling a bit ahead with a nice score of 45903. Our ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) has come in third on these 4 boards reviewed.

Well, from the above graph, we see these all four boards pretty much ran neck to neck in the Aida64 Write category. Nonetheless, these are pretty good numbers!

Asus Rog Strix B550-F pcmark10

When we ran the PCMark 10 benchmark we can see that this board came in at 6409 which again, if you look at TheFPSReview B550 motherboard review is pretty much right in line with the others we have reviewed. However, the previously reviewed Gigabyte B550 motherboard still shows as king in this test of the AMD B550 chipset boards.

Cinebench R23

Asus Rog Strix B550-F cinebench chart

The Cinebench R23 result was set with the CPU at the default setting. As we can see from the above graph, The ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) fell in the last place to the other two boards reviewed with a score of 12511.

Asus Rog Strix B550-F blender

We ran this Blender Benchmark “Classroom” at the default motherboard settings which included the CPU at 3600 and RAM at 3200. This system completed the benchmark in 8 minutes and 20 seconds. Again, the ASUS falls short against the Gigabyte board. This board was almost 3 minutes longer than the Gigabyte and was right in line with the MSI board. We are not sure why the Gigabyte board was so substantially quicker than these other three other motherboards.

3DMark Timespy

Asus Rog Strix B550-F 3dmark

The 3DMark Timespy result is 6371, since this is very GPU dependent comparing it with other reviews other than the Gigabyte and MSI, which we used the same video card would not be a fair comparison. As we can see, the ASUS board just edged past the Gigabyte motherboard. Is that due to better memory management with the board? Who’s to say? Nonetheless, all four of these boards were within just a few points of each other.
