Guerrilla Games has revealed that Horizon fans will have four special editions of Horizon Forbidden West to choose from when the highly anticipated sequel launches on February 18, 2022. They are the Digital Deluxe Edition, Special Edition, Collector’s Edition, and Regalla Edition.

All but one of these editions include both the PS4 and PS5 versions of Horizon Forbidden West, as well as an assortment of goodies that range from special outfits to SteelBook display cases and mini art books. Guerrilla Games has noted that dual entitlement does not apply to the standard and Special Edition versions of Horizon Forbidden West. It appears that Horizon fans will not be able to upgrade the PS4 version of the game to the PS5 version; no paid upgrade options have been mentioned.

Horizon Forbidden West continues six months after the events of Horizon Zero Dawn. Aloy, a machine hunter, has travelled west to investigate a mysterious and deadly blight. In these uncharted lands, she will meet strange new tribes and encounter ever more deadly machines. Together with old friends and new companions, she must brave this new frontier to find the answers she needs to save life on Earth.
