EA has confirmed that EA Play, Xbox Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be given the privilege of playing Battlefield 2042 for free for a limited time as part of a 10-hour trial. The perk will be available beginning on November 12, a week ahead of the game’s official release on November 19. EA Play Pro members will also have access to the Ultimate Edition of Battlefield 2042, which adds the Midnight Ultimate Bundle comprising various outfits and skins alongside a digital artbook and soundtrack.

From EA’s support page:

EA Play members (including Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers) will have early access to Open Beta and a 10-hour trial of Battlefield 2042 starting on November 12, 2021.

EA Play Pro members get the Ultimate Edition of the game, and all rewards associated with it, including early access to Open Beta and access to the full game from November 12, 2021.

DICE also shared a new Battlefield 2042 trailer today demonstrating what players can expect out of the shooter’s new Portal feature. Described as a “love letter to Battlefield fans,” Portal allows for the creation of new game modes with extensive options and tools such as the new Rules Editor. Classic content from Battlefield 3, Battlefield Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 1942 will be available.
