Sony Interactive Entertainment President and CEO Jim Ryan has shared a letter to commemorate the one-year anniversary of his company’s newest console, the PlayStation 5. Released on November 12, 2020, the AMD-powered system continues to sell extremely well despite its meager library of true, next-generation exclusives. That said, Ryan has promised that there are many great first-party games on the way from PlayStation Studios.

From Ryan:

A year seems to have flown by rather quickly since the first day that gamers were able to get their hands on PS5 — and I am deeply honored and humbled to celebrate this amazing first year with all of you. […]

[…] we are just getting started with PS5. The imaginative game creators and publishing partners we work with have launched more than 360 games on PS5. Additionally, there are currently more than 25 games in development for PS5 at PlayStation Studios.

Ryan also shared a list of the most popular PS5 games of the year. Included are two exclusives, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Demon’s Souls.

  • Fortnite
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
  • FIFA 21
  • NBA 2K21
  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
