Video games weren’t only the media that received exciting new trailers during this year’s Game Awards show.

Paramount took advantage of the occasion by sharing trailers for two of its upcoming and highly anticipated features, Halo, a TV series based on 343 Industries’ hugely popular sci-fi shooter franchise, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2, a sequel to 2020’s surprisingly successful adaptation of Sega’s speedy mascot.

The Halo series will begin streaming in 2022 exclusively on Paramount+, while Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is slated to hit theaters on April 8, 2022.

Halo TV Series

Dramatizing an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant, Halo the series will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2

The world’s favorite blue hedgehog is back for a next-level adventure in SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2. After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.
