Steam’s final sales event of the year has begun.

From now until January 5, Steam users can browse the digital storefront for considerable discounts as part of the Winter Sale, which includes select titles at up to 90 percent off. They include Spore, an evolutionary cell title published by EA that’s available for just $1.99, and Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Black Ops III shooters, both of which can be individually purchased for $19.79.

Users who are trying to avoid growing their backlogs should still check out the Steam Points Shop in the days ahead, as Valve will be sharing free Winter gifts there as part of its latest major sales event.

“Every two days the sneaky Yeti or one of his wintery friends will make an appearance as a little giftie pour vous there,” Valve explained. “Stop by the Points Shop any time before the sale ends on January 5th at 10am Pacific to claim your free stickers. Got some points burning a hole in your wintery coat pocket? Then be sure to browse the Points Shop for additional Winter Goodies on sale now.”

Valve has also taken the opportunity to remind users to vote for their favorite games for the upcoming 2021 Steam Awards before time runs out. Users have until January 3 (9 a.m. PT) to go through the categories, which include Most Innovative Gameplay and Best Game You Suck At.
