AMD has clarified that the current prices of Ryzen 7000 Series processors are only temporary and should not be viewed as permanent “price cuts,” a term that various publications have generously used in their headlines to draw attention to the latest Black Friday promotions, which include significant discounts on red team’s latest desktop CPUs powered by the Zen 4 architecture.

Per a PCGH report about the Ryzen 7000 Series’ current low prices:

As AMD Germany has confirmed to PCGH, there is no official price reduction for Ryzen 7000. According to AMD, the current prices are based “on Black Week discount campaigns with our partner shops in DACH”, according to AMD’s press spokesman. Similar actions are likely to take place in other countries. The dealer’s discount is therefore “limited in time”.

Many believe that official price cuts for the Ryzen 7000 Series will happen sooner rather than later, however, with many critics bringing up the premiums that are required to enter the AM5 platform, such as pricey motherboards, but here’s what AMD has to offer right now from its own store, matching or coming close to the promotions of other retailers that include Amazon and Newegg.
