DPC Latency

ASUS PRIME B760-PLUS D4 DPC Latency Test Results.

Due to the results seen above, we tested and retested this multiple times to try and correct the issue. That being said, while the DPC latency results were nothing short of appalling, they did not cause any issues with the playback of audio or video in games or while streaming video. Generally, you want to stay under 1,000 and we hit 20x that amount. Again, it didn’t seem to cause a real-world problem but it’s interesting that the result was so bad.

SSD Performance

SSD performance was tested using the M.2_1 slot. The SSD used for testing is a Corsair MP600 1TB M.2 NVMe drive.

As expected, the performance of this SSD is consistent with what we’ve seen with it on other motherboards. These results are also in line with the manufacturer’s specifications which shows our motherboard is working as it should.

SUMMARY

In short, the ASUS PRIME B760-PLUS D4 is about as basic as a motherboard gets. Feature wise you have to give up a lot in order to hit this price point. However the ASUS PRIME B760-PLUS D4 it provides a superb computing experience with solid performance with absolute stability rivaling much more expensive motherboards. With that said, the VRM's, heat sinks and chipset are a limiting factor for hard core enthusiasts.
