The HBO show, which stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel and Ellie, has been nominated in multiple categories, including Drama Series, Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Pascal), and Lead Actress in a Drama Series (Ramsey). Note that this recognition pertains strictly to live-action video game adaptations—Netflix’s Arcane is technically the first-ever video game adaptation to get an Emmy nomination, having won one for best animated series last year.
