FromSoftware’s ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON is now available to play on PS5|PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in many regions, and Bandai Namco is celebrating the launch of the Elden Ring developer’s latest game with a new live-action trailer that stars actor Karl Urban. Urban, whose recent roles include Billy Butcher in The Boys, gives a pep talk to the player as some of the game’s action-packed sequences play out, and while there’s no real indication here as to whether Urban has actually played the game, there’s a separate Overview trailer that’s also available for viewing, offering insight on the new ARMORED CORE’s combat, customization, locale, and more. A Deluxe Version of ARMORED CORE VI is available for $69.99, but the only difference seems to be the inclusion of a digital artbook and soundtrack.
In ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON, players take on the role of an augmented human pilot optimized to command a weaponized mech known as an Armored Core. After infiltrating Rubicon-3 as an independent mercenary, they must quickly learn the rules of combat and survival in a brutally hostile environment. The “Overview Trailer” is the pre-mission briefing they will need, with sections covering story, combat techniques, customization, and mission structure.
