Remedy Entertainment has unveiled its next Alan Wake 2 update titled “The Final Draft” which rolls out on December 11 for PC and consoles. Players who are already planning on taking the game for another spin may want to hold off for a couple more days as the new update will be adding a New Game Plus mode in which all charms, weapons, and character upgrades will carry over along with a new gaming ending. Other additions for the new mode include more videos, manuscripts, and other “subtle” changes to the game. The developers have also added a Nightmare difficulty setting for those looking for an even greater challenge in beating the game. The update will also include various bug fixes and optimizations.

Prepare for an enhanced adventure as we introduce “The Final Draft,” providing you with another compelling reason to dive back into the immersive world of Alan Wake.
The Final Draft unveils a new ending to the layered story of Alan Wake, sure to spark speculation and theories among our dedicated fans. Additionally, there is new lore to be found in the form of a few new videos and manuscript pages that have been added to New Game Plus experience, along with other subtle additions.
Players will retain all weapons, Charms and character upgrades earned during their first playthrough. They should come in handy when you seek the ultimate challenge of trying out the new Nightmare Difficulty level. Brace yourselves for intensified enemies, strategic gameplay, and an adrenaline-pumping experience that will push your skills to the limit.
Note: You will find your unlocked weapons in the first available shoebox for the character. This means that you don’t start New Game Plus with the weapons already in your inventory.

Unlock Criteria: To access the New Game Plus mode and fully experience “The Final Draft”, a completed playthrough of Alan Wake 2 is required.
