It has been announced that Hogwarts Legacy PlayStation-exclusive content will be arriving on other platforms sometime this summer. The announcement was made via the game’s official social media channel as a sort of commemoration for its first anniversary after launching in February 2023. The announcement also says that new features and updates are on the way as well but does not indicate what those will be. VGC added that Hogwarts Legacy has passed yet another milestone in having sold over 24 million copies.

While there are no further announcements, yet, detailing exactly what content could be making its way over to other platforms it is likely to be the Haunted Hogsmeade quest. This quest includes an additional dungeon, a cosmetic set, and when completed unlocks the Hogsmeade shop where it has been said that players can buy and sell items at better prices than any other places in the game.

Per PlayStation Blog:

“Cassandra Mason has a shop to sell you in Hogsmeade, but all is not as it seems in this run-down establishment. What sinister secrets lie beneath Madam Mason’s shop and why was she so keen to sell it? That’s a mystery Hogwarts Legacy players will discover in the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop quest exclusively available on PlayStation platforms. “

Per Harry Potter WIKI:

“In the late 19th century, Cassandra Mason owned the shop and had her house-elf, Penny helping to sell things. She started sending Penny out to find potential tenants. Once they agreed to Cassandra’s deal, they received a key to a chest in the back room which led to a dungeon haunted by a poltergeist called Fastidio. They were driven to madness and were taken to St Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.”

Other additional exclusive content may include a potion recipe called Felix Felicis. Per IGN, it is “a luck potion that reveals gear chests on the minimap for one in-game day.”

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
