Power and Temperature
To test the power and temperature we perform a manual run-through in Cyberpunk 2077 at “Ultra” settings for real-world in-game data. We used GPUZ sensor data to record the results. We report on the GPUZ sensor data for “Board Power” and “GPU Chip Power” when available for our Wattage data. For temperature data, we report the GPU (Edge Temp of the GPU) as well as the Hot Spot (Junction Temperature) when available for our temperature data.
Power
GPUZ does not record the GPU chip draw, so all we report is the Board draw here. The ASRock Radeon RX 7600 XT Steel Legend 16GB OC default has the highest power draw of the three cards, most likely due to the increased voltage for the factory overclocks. The default draw sits right at the maximum listed power draw for the card. When overclocked manually, we add to that. Here we see 7 and 24% more power draw than the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 Gaming OC. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4060 OC low Profile has the least power draw.
Temperature
Here we see the power translated to temperatures almost identically. We have to cut the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4060 OC Low Profile a little slack. This is a tiny video card with 80mm fans running at default speeds. Otherwise, the heat equals the power draw across the board. The temperatures are still quite good. Especially if one considers the Overclocked ASRock RX 7600 XT Steel Legend 16GB OC was running on automatic and the fans were not audible. GPUZ sensor screen captures below, default settings are on the left.
