Diablo IV’s ray tracing update will finally arrive on March 26, three weeks before the end of the current season, Season of the Construct, which ends on April 16, NVIDIA has confirmed. The update will bring two ray-traced effects to the game, and while it’s unclear what kind of performance hit players can expect, NVIDIA has shared a trailer that shows how DLSS 3 will help keep frame rates high.

NVIDIA on Diablo IV’s ray tracing update:

Coming March 26th, Diablo IV content will look even better thanks to the addition of 2 ray-traced effects. Armor, water, windows, and other suitably reflective surfaces will now feature accurate, realistic ray-traced reflections and ray-traced transparent reflections, making battles in Sanctuary even more spectacular. The many shadows of Diablo IV will be enhanced with ray tracing, adding extra detail to all scenes.
