OK, important question: Who is a bigger merchant of unfulfilled promises and vaporware? Chris Roberts or Elon Musk?

That's a tough one.

I sincerely hope, I really do, that they'll push out SQ42 in 2026. I've not followed nor played the game in any iteration, but it'd be nice to finally get something out the door after all this time. Might placate the supporters, maybe draw in new players. I think it likely won't vindicate Roberts, but at least there would be something on the plate.

I don't see it happening. It's just another drive for more people to push more money at them.

Exactly, I remember around 2015 there were people who swore SQ42 is feature ready and will come out in a few months as they promised.

At this point I'm so apathetic about it that I might not play it even if it comes out.

I'm not expecting much if Squadron 42 comes out at all. CIG has lost any credibility they might have had years ago.
