Power and Temp
Power

The TDP of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is 180W according to the NVIDIA spec. Our GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G seems to be pulling a total board power of 169.2W while gaming, which fits it very nicely under the total power spec. At this power demand, it is a very efficient video card. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G consumes only 11% more power than the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB FE video card. Considering we saw performance gains much higher than this, the efficiency seems to be great, and keep in mind that the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is a factory overclocked (OC) video card as well.
The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G uses 13% less power than the GeForce RTX 4070, 17% less power than the Radeon RX 7600 XT (which was much slower), and 27% less power than the Radeon RX 7700 XT. Overclocking the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G increased the power draw by 8%, which tracks with the performance increase we saw from overclocking. Even overclocked, it uses less power than the RTX 4070, RX 7600 XT, and RX 7700 XT.

According to the GPU Chip Power, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GPU itself is incredibly power efficient, at only 65W default, and 70W overclocked. At this power level, the GPU Chip uses 48% less power than the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GPU chip and 61% less power than the GeForce RTX 4070 GPU chip. It seems most of the board power coming from the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti must be from the GDDR7 VRAM.
Temperature

The GIGABYTE WINDFORCE cooling on the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is very impressive. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G had a max GPU temp of 62.8c while gaming, which is the lowest on this graph! The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G runs cooler than the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB FE and GeForce RTX 4070 FE cards, and the two custom Radeon cards as well. Even when overclocked, on “auto” fans, at 65c temps did not rise much and stayed very cool, in line with the other cards.

We also wanted to look at the memory temperature, and the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G once again proves that its unique server-grade thermal conductive gel being used works well. The VRAM temperatures were at 60c, and when overclocked, only reached 62c. Even overclocked, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G memory modules are running cooler than the GeForce RTX 4070 FE and the two Radeon cards, which are also custom designs.
GPU-Z Screenshots

Above, you can see the GPU-Z sensor data running at default (left) and overclocked (right) in Cyberpunk 2077. At default, the GPU Voltage hits 1.0650V and the fan speed runs at 55% while gaming. When overclocked, the Voltage actually undervolted itself a bit, but this means the fan speed only needed to rise to about 60% on auto. This also means we had plenty of power headroom, as the TDP is nowhere near its max allowed. If we had Voltage increase ability, we could probably push the GPU frequency even higher since we are well within our power envelope with the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G, it has a lot of headroom and potential for overclocking.
