Gaming Performance (Al-Do)
In our game performance testing, we are utilizing an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 FE video card. We are running each game at 1080p, Native Resolution, and we are using mostly the highest game settings. However, in Clair Obscur and Dying Light The Beast, we have lowered the game settings. We are using manual in-game run-throughs for each game and reporting the average FPS and 1% Lows. It is important to note the 1% Lows in many instances, especially in those where the AVG is close; the 1% Lows may not be. All games are running the latest versions. All graphs are organized from fastest to slowest by AVG.
Alan Wake 2

In Alan Wake 2, the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D are neck-and-neck in performance. The performance difference is only 1% between them. There is literally no difference here, and it shows both CPUs are just as fast for this game.
Battlefield 6

In Battlefield 6, the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D are also very close in performance, just as it was in Alan Wake 2. There is just a 1% difference in the AVG FPS, and the Ryzen 9 9950X3D is 1% faster in 1% Lows.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

We lowered this game to Medium quality to avoid GPU bottlenecking in this particular game. Once again, the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D are very close in performance, though the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D is starting to take a slight lead in the 1% Lows. The AVG FPS is 1% apart in performance, but the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D is technically 2.5% faster in 1% Lows compared to the Ryzen 9 9900X3D.
Crimson Desert

In Crimson Desert we are using a new manual run-through inside a town, that stresses the CPU more than the out and open world for GPU testing. Now we are starting to see some differences. The AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D has a more clearly defined advantage in performance (albeit small) in this game. The AVG FPS difference is 1%, but the 1% Lows are 3% faster on the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D.
Cyberpunk 2077

Note that for ALL testing above, we are using the newly released Patch 2.5 Update for Cyberpunk 2077. This data represents the new patch being installed. All things change here in Cyberpunk 2077, we are not seeing a very defined difference between the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D. The Ryzen 9 9950X3D is 5% faster than the Ryzen 9 9900X3D in average FPS, which is certainly notable. Even better still, the Ryzen 9 9950X3D is 7% faster in the 1% Lows compared to the Ryzen 9 9900X3D, which is getting up there in noticeable differences, especially at lower FPS.
Doom: The Dark Ages

In Doom: The Dark Ages, both the AMD Ryzen 9 9950XD and AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D share the same performance. The 1% Lows are slightly different, with the Ryzen 9 9950X3D taking the lead at 2% faster 1% Lows.
