Gaming Performance (Dy-St)
In our game performance testing, we are utilizing an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 FE video card. We are running each game at 1080p, Native Resolution, and we are using mostly the highest game settings. However, in Clair Obscur and Dying Light The Beast, we have lowered the game settings. We are using manual in-game run-throughs for each game and reporting the average FPS and 1% Lows. It is important to note the 1% Lows in many instances, especially in those where the AVG is close; the 1% Lows may not be. All games are running the latest versions. All graphs are organized from fastest to slowest by AVG.
Dying Light The Beast

Dying Light: The Beast is interesting. Firstly, we did need to drop down to Medium in this game to avoid GPU bottlenecks. The average FPS is quite similar between the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D. However, the 1% Lows are vastly better on the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D. The Ryzen 9 9950X3D is 7% faster than the Ryzen 9 9900X3D.
Hogwarts Legacy

In Hogwarts Legacy, we can also see some performance differences between both CPUs; this game can be CPU-dependent. The AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D is 5% faster in average FPS, but 1% Lows are similar.
Horizon Forbidden West

In Horizon Forbidden West, we have changed up our run-through to perform it within a settlement, with a lot of NPCs and activity around. This highlights the CPU usage much more and the differences in CPU performance for this game. We can see that the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D is 3% faster than the Ryzen 9 9900X3D in average FPS, and 2% faster in 1% Lows.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D perform exactly the same here; both average FPS and 1% Lows are the same.
Resident Evil Requiem

In Resident Evil Requiem, there is a slight difference here in both average FPS and 1% Lows. The AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D is 2% faster in average FPS and 2% faster in 1% Lows.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl

Note that we are using the newest patch of Stalker 2, which upgrades the Unreal Engine version to 5.5.4. In Stalker 2, the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D is 2% faster in average FPS. The 1% Lows are interesting; it was actually the Ryzen 9 9900X3D that was 5% faster than the Ryzen 9 9950X3D here.
