GPU Boosted Clock Speed

We wanted to test the actual real-world in-game GPU Boosted clock speed of both video cards while gaming.  Remember, they have a quoted boost clock, but because of GPU Boost they will operate higher while gaming.

GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Boosted Clock Speed

The GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER has a boost clock of 1770MHz.  While gaming we experienced a maximum clock of 1965MHz and a minimum clock of 1890MHz.  The average while gaming was 1912MHz.  That is well over the quoted boost clock.

GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER Boosted Clock Speed

The GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER has a boost clock of 1650MHz.  The results were very “wow” on this one, the Founders Edition is boosting to a maximum of 1950MHz with a minimum of 1800MHz.  The average while gaming was 1866MHz.  This is once again well over the quoted boost clock.

Expect add-in-board custom video cards to potentially run higher thanks to better cooling and power.
