1080p Overclocked RTX 3060 Ti FE Performance
On this page, we will start 1080p performance comparisons. At 1080p the video cards are more CPU bottlenecked, so keep that in mind when looking at the comparisons. The “OVERCLOCKED GeForce RTX 3060 Ti FE” video card is overclocked at 2052MHz GPU and 15.5GHz memory. All other cards are in the default configuration. We are using in-game benchmarks where possible, DX12 and Vulkan. Ray Tracing and DLSS are tested on a separate page.
Watch Dogs Legion
In Watch Dogs Legion we are running the game at 1080p but with the default “Ultra” preset and HD Textures installed. Overclocking the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti FE improves performance by 4%, bringing us over 80FPS. Overclocked performance is 6% faster than the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER FE. Not bad for a $399 video card beating a $699 video card in this new game.
Horizon Zero Dawn
In Horizon Zero Dawn at 1080p overclocking the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti FE has improved performance by 5%. Performance is very good in this game well above 100FPS. Compared to the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER FE the overclock is 8% faster.
Red Dead Redemption 2
In Red Dead Redemption 2 we are running the game at the highest in-game settings. Overclocking the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti FE improves performance by 4%. Before the overclock the performance only just matched the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER FE. However, by overclocking performance now exceeds it. What’s more, the overclock helps bring performance to close to 70FPS in this game, which needs all the help it can get.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint
In Ghost Recon Breakpoint at 1080p the overclocked GeForce RTX 3060 Ti FE improves performance by 4%. Compared to the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER FE that is 11% faster with the overclock on the RTX 3060 Ti FE.
Control
In Control the overclock on the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti FE boosts performance by 6%. Compared to the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER FE that is 11% faster.
Wolfenstein Youngblood
In Wolfenstein Youngblood overclocking the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti FE improves performance by 7%. Compared to the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER FE that is 14% faster, quite a bit of an advantage in this game.
Metro Exodus
In Metro Exodus at 1080p the overclock on the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti FE improves performance by 5%. That 5% is very much needed in this game, and helps to solidify a smooth experience above 60FPS. It also helps boost the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti FE over the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER FE.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
In Shadow of the Tomb Raider we see some big results in this game, overclocking the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti FE improves performance by 8%. When compared to the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER FE it’s 13% faster.
