AMD’s upcoming Radeon RX 6700 graphics card could feature considerably less memory than its more powerful siblings. The rumor stems from a screenshot shared by KOMACHI_ENSAKA, which shows a recent filing made by ASRock alluding to a Challenger D OC model with only 6 GB of VRAM (RX6700 CLD 6GO). While that reference has since been scrubbed from the official EEC site, it does open up the possibility of select Radeon RX 6000 Series GPUs having even less memory than NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3070 (8 GB) and GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (8 GB).

ASRock’s EEC filing also suggests that AMD will be introducing Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics cards, which feature 12 GB of memory. Among those listed are the Phantom Gaming D OC (RX6600XT PGD 12GO), Challenger Pro OC (RX6600XT CLP 12GO), Challenger D OC (RX6600XT CLD 12GO), and Challenger D (RX6600XT CLD 12G).
