UHD Graphics 750 Performance

Let’s start out our game testing with an oldie but goodie, Grand Theft Auto V. We’ll do a few older games, and then we’ll test some newer ones. Since this is integrated graphics performance, we started testing at 1280×720 (720p) and then also tried 1080p. We didn’t expect much, so we started with the lowest game settings in each game and only worked our way beyond that if performance was good enough.

Grand Theft Auto V

In Grand Theft Auto V we set the game to 720p to start out with and turned every graphics option to “Normal” level. We did have population density, population variety, and distance scaling at the highest levels, and we did have FXAA turned on and 16X AF. This game, being very old now, actually performed well at these settings at 720p on the older Intel UHD Graphics 630 at a playable 50FPS average. What is very clear though is that the new Intel UHD Graphics 750 is 62% faster, which is pretty large. This means we can up the settings in the game with it or the resolution perhaps.

In this graph, we have turned up the game settings quite a bit to “Very High.” This drastically affected performance on the older Intel UHD Graphics 630 and became unplayable. However, the new Intel UHD Graphics 750 is actually playable and is 59% faster.

In this graph, we have upped the resolution to 1080p but set the game back down to “Normal” settings. The Intel UHD 630 suffers, but the Intel UHD 750 pulls through and is 60% faster.

Now we have upped the game settings to “Very High” at 1080p, and this is where the new Intel UHD 750 suffers, it is not playable at all. However, it is still 61% faster than the older generation.
