Bandai Namco recently held a new showcase event for Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon showing off its PvP and mission gameplay components. Fans will be able to engage in either 1v1 or 3v3 in PvP combat with matches lasting five minutes and the team who deals the most amount of damage wins. Players killed during matches will be able to respawn. The showcase team delves into PvP gameplay at 1:06:00 in the video.

PCGamesN has noted that Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon is giving off major Dark Souls vibes and even allows players to resupply during missions with drops. Among the numerous game streamers was Michael ‘VaatiVidya’ Samuels known for his Dark Souls coverage. The Dark Souls reference also aligns with a previous statement from the game’s producer who shared how working the games like Dark Souls, Sekiro, and Elden Ring influenced the team while working on this latest installment.

Release date and features:

Players will be able to engage in a full 3D environment and, on PC, play in ultrawide resolutions up to 120 FPS. Owners of PlayStation 5 or Xbox X|S consoles can play in 4K up to 60 fps while older consoles are limited to 30 FPS. As the publisher says, Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon makes planetfall on August 25.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
