Team FOLON has announced that Fallout: London—a “DLC-sized” mod for Fallout 4 that will take the franchise and its players beyond the shores of the U.S. and into the capital and largest city of England and the U.K.—is scheduled for release on April 23, 2024.

Here’s a copy of the official release announcement trailer for Fallout: London that Team FOLON shared over the Christmas holiday, which not only confirms its April release date, but also how it will include plenty of new content, including 100+ quests, 50 boroughs, 7 companions, and even 90,000+ lines of newly recorded dialog:

Fallout: London is an ambitious, trail-blazing DLC-sized mod for Fallout 4, Bethesda Game Studios’ 2015 post-apocalyptic RPG,” reads a description of the DLC that Team FOLON shared on its official website. “Fallout: London stands apart from its contemporaries and offers an entirely new experience: setting a Fallout game outside of the United States. True to its moniker, Fallout: London takes place IN London. From stuffy parliamentary aristocrats to a resurrection of the Knights of the Round Table to an uncompromising cult of revolutionaries (and more!), Fallout: London embodies the history and aesthetics of London and puts an unmistakably nuclear spin on the beloved city.”

Fallout: London’s development is labour-intensive and involves a plethora of eclectic cross-discipline individuals, both at amateur and industry level,” the group added. “The team maintains a strong sense of professionalism and devotion to the craft. Everyone on the Fallout: London team shares a deep love of videogames, and most importantly, Fallout itself. Each member of the Fallout: London team is individually recruited for their contributions and talent in the realms of game design and modding.”

According to a team page, Team FOLON comprises 12 members, including five artists, all of whom may or may not be contacted by Bethesda in the near future about working with the Microsoft-owned company in an official capacity.

Barring any delays, Fallout: London will arrive over eight years after the release of Fallout 4, which originally launched on November 10, 2015, for PS4, Windows PCs, and Xbox One consoles.

As for Fallout 5, Todd Howard has confirmed that it’s coming, although development isn’t expected to begin until The Elder Scrolls VI is finished.

“Yes, Elder Scrolls VI is in pre-production and, you know, we’re going to be doing Fallout 5 after that, so our slate’s pretty full going forward for a while. We have some other projects that we look at from time to time as well,” Howard told IGN earlier this year.
