Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo IV: Season of the Construct will include over 35 new powers for players to play with as part of a new Governing/Tuning Stone system for the “Seneschal Construct,” a new robotic companion for S3, and while two of these “uber” stones remain under wraps for the time being, there’s now news that one of them, the Evernight Stone, will grant powers similar to the Harlequin Crest—one of Diablo IV’s most sought-after and hard-to-obtain Uber Uniques. Harlequin Crest is prized for its unique affixes, which include +4 ranks to all skills and 20% damage reduction, and according to a screenshot that systems game designer Sean White shared with PC Gamer ahead of S3’s release, the Evernight will grant at least one of these powers under select conditions.

White comments:

“Let’s just say this, if you were to find a unique tuning stone that is, in and of itself, bragging rights … because it is going to increase either your own power or the Seneschal’s like—let’s just say a lot. A lot, very many a lots.”

  • +42 All Stats
  • +2,292 Maximum Life
  • 18.5% Resource Generation
  • 10.3% Cooldown Reduction
  • Gain 20% Damage Reduction
  • Gain +4 Ranks to all Skills

Blizzard’s teaser from yesterday:

Scholars have spoken in hushed whispers concerning rumors of fabled Tuning Stones, far beyond the capable power of mere mortals. Their existence is ephemeral, never confirmed by a dignified mage of high ranking. All that is known of them is writ below:

  • Evernight: ???
  • Genesis: ???

Season 3 description:

Unearth a new threat looming deep beneath the sands of Kehjistan, where a tool devised for good has been overtaken for demonic evils. Prepare to battle the elements as you maneuver through deadly Hazards, take on vicious Constructs, and master Sanctuary’s newest challenges. With the help of a new companion at your side, you just might make it out alive.
