aureate_games has released a playable demo for “Open Lara RTX: Reimagined Realms,” a new mod that upgrades Core Design’s original, iconic 1996 action-adventure game with modern effects that include path tracing. The mod was developed using RTX Remix, the new modding platform from NVIDIA that allows modders to remaster their favorite games with full ray tracing, NVIDIA DLSS, generative AI texture tools, and more, now available to download as part of an open beta.
Installation instructions:
- You must own the original Steam or GOG versions of the game before installing this mod.
- Run openlarartx_demo_installer.exe and follow the instructions on screen
- A shortcut icon will be added to your desktop, run to launch Open Lara RTX: Reimagined Realms demo
- (by default will launch in windowed 1080p, ALT+RETURN to go full screen – if your GPU can handle it)
