Far Cry 5

Note that in all the graphs the video cards are compared by price.  The most expensive video card by MSRP is on top, while the least expensive video card by MSRP is on bottom.  In this way you can compare pricing from bottom to top and see where performance lies.

In the graph we are using the latest version of Far Cry 5.  The game is running in DX11 and we have all of the in-game settings at their maximum values for graphics with HD Textures Enabled.  We are using the built-in benchmark for testing results and we verified playability in gameplay.  Feel free to test your video cards performance and see how it compares against ours.

AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT and RX 5700 Far Cry 5 at 1440p

In Far Cry 5 the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT performs on par with the RTX 2070 FE and RTX 2060 SUPER.  The Radeon RX 5700 is very fast here, 15% faster than the RTX 2060.

AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT and RX 5700 Far Cry 5 at 1080p

At 1080p the Radeon RX 5700 cards seem to take a back seat.  We’ve seen this before in another game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, where they fell backwards at 1080p.  Not really sure what causes this, but as it stands the GeForce RTX video cards are faster.  However, all video cards are certainly playable at 1080p since performance is so high, so the gameplay experience is the same.
