Call of Duty Modern Warfare

We are using the newly released game, Call of Duty Modern Warfare.  For our evaluation, we are using a manual run-through in the first section of the campaign.  We move from the helicopter drop, call an airstrike on the town below and work our way all the way through the town taking out the baddies.

At 1080p we are starting here with the highest in-game settings.  These two video cards do run this game well at the highest settings.  However, there are some areas where it drops into the ’40s which may be unacceptable to some, so we will show a lower setting below.

At this setting, though it seems that the ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1650 SUPER has a slight performance advantage.  Then the SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 5500 XT is right under it.  That is until we overclock the Radeon RX 5500 XT, then it matches the ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1650 SUPER in performance.

In this graph, we have lowered the game settings to “High.”  Now we are averaging in the ’70s which keeps the minimum framerates in the ’50s while playing.  Once again, we see the GTX 1650 SUPER pull ahead of the new RX 5500 XT in this game.  However, once we overclock the RX 5500 XT it overtakes the GTX 1650 SUPER.
