Ray Tracing and DLSS MSI RTX 3080 SUPRIM X Performance
Now we will tackle Ray Tracing performance with DLSS enabled. The MSI GeForce RTX 3080 SUPRIM X is shown in three ways. It is shown with the SILENT DEFAULT BIOS mode, the GAMING BIOS mode, and the OVERCLOCKED performance. The abbreviation DFLT. stands for DEFAULT. The Radeon RX 6800 XT and GeForce RTX 3080 FE are at default settings. All games are using built-in benchmarks where possible, where not, a manual-run through is used.
Cyberpunk 2077 1440p
In Cyberpunk 2077 we have both “Ultra” Quality Ray Tracing enabled plus Quality DLSS mode enabled at 1440p. Turning on DLSS is the key to making Ray Tracing playable at 1440p. Now we have over 60FPS and can enjoy the game with Ray Tracing. Overclocking the MSI video card improves performance by 5% bringing us above 70FPS at 1440p with Ray Tracing.
Cyberpunk 2077 4K
Unfortunately, even with Quality DLSS 4K is still out of range for Ray Tracing performance at Ultra. However, we can see that overclocking the MSI video card improves performance by 10%.
Watch Dogs Legion 1440p
In Watch Dogs Legion at 1440p with Ray Tracing Quality DLSS also offers up a smooth gameplay experience. The overclocked MSI RTX 3080 SUPRIM X is hitting almost 80FPS at 1440p with Ray Tracing enabled. Performance has increased 5% with the overclock.
Watch Dogs Legion 4K
In Watch Dogs Legion at 4K with Ray Tracing and Quality DLSS there is only one video card that allows a near playable and enjoyable experience in the game. That video card is the MSI GeForce RTX 3080 SUPRIM X when overclocked to the max. It can push an average of 52FPS at 4K with Ultra Ray Tracing in Quality DLSS mode.
Wolfenstein Youngblood 1440p
Of course Wolfenstein Youngblood doesn’t need DLSS to perform well with Ray Tracing, but turn in on and just see the framerates fly.
Wolfenstein Youngblood 4K
Wolfenstein Youngblood at 4K, Ray Tracing turned on and Quality DLSS pushing in the upper 100’s of FPS, what more is there to say?
