Yesterday it was rumored that Konami is reviving three of its IPs. Gematsu’s sources claim that one of the Silent Hill games is being developed by Kojima Productions, funded by Sony Interactive Entertainment. If true, the title could be exclusive to PlayStation, although Sony has been releasing more of its titles on PC. Kojima Productions and Konami have been estranged since Konami changed its focus, prompting them to separate. Fans have long hoped the two would come to terms for a new collaboration.

Konami has denied that any Silent Hill projects are in the works despite many rumors, such as Bloober Team’s involvement (which recently signed an agreement with Konami to develop an unannounced title) to images from horror manga artist Suehiro Maruo. The game’s original composer also seemingly let a detail slip during an interview, prompting Konami to request a takedown of it. There are reportedly multiple projects in the works.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
