Synthetic Storage Benchmarks – ADATA SU670 Ultimate
PCMark 10
We are using PCMark 10’s Full System Drive Storage Benchmark. The Full Storage Benchmark runs a wide-ranging set of real-world traces from popular applications and common tasks. It outputs an overall score (higher is better) as well as access time (lower is better) results.
The ADATA SU670 Ultimate SATA SSD gives us a score of 775, which beats the Silicon Power Ace A55 by a good 47%. However, the Samsung 860 Evo in both form factors does perform a bit better, this is due to the better write speed on the Samsung drives.
In terms of access time, the ADATA SU670 Ultimate is pretty good, it’s a lot faster than the Silicon Power Ace A55, but the Samsung 860 EVO drives are just a tad faster.
PassMark PerformanceTEST
We are using PassMark’s PerformanceTEST Disk Mark benchmark only. This test benchmarks Disk Sequential Read, Disk Sequential Write, IOPS 32KQD20, IOPS 4KQD1 tests and outputs an overall score (higher is better.)
In PassMark’s PerformanceTEST we find the ADATA SU670 Ultimate is once again still faster than the Silicon Power Ace A55 by 11% overall. However, the Samsung 860 EVO SSDs do beat the SU670 Ultimate by a good margin, especially the M.2 form factor 860 EVO.
