Throughput Benchmarks – ADATA SU670 Ultimate

CrystalDiskMark

We are using CrystalDiskMark to benchmark sequential and random throughput of read and write performance. For these SATA SSDs, we are using the default profile in CrystalDiskMark. This tests SEQ1M Q8T1, SEQ1M Q1T1, RND4K Q32T1, and RND4K Q1T1.

In CrystalDiskMark SEQ1M Q8T1 testing the ADATA SU670 ULTIMATE SSD is performing very well for its quoted and rated speeds. It is rated at 520MB/s read speed, and here it is performing at 521MB/s, so it is right on the mark, and the write speed is rated at 450MB/s, and here it is performing above that at 459MB/s, so that’s perfect. Comparative to other SATA SSDs it’s well above the Silicon Power Ace A55, but underneath the SAMSUNG 860 EVO SSDs in performance.

We also see exactly the same performance in SEQ1M Q1T1 performance out of the ADATA SU670 ULTIMATE SSD. It’s faster than the Silicon Power Ace A55, but just under the Samsung 860 EVO SSDs.

In random performance, it is still faster than the Silicon Power Ace A55, and even matches the SAMSUNG 960 EVO 2.5″ SSD in write performance. It’s bested in the read performance though by the 860 EVO SSDs.

The ADATA SU670 ULTIMATE also holds its own in random Q1T1 testing, beating the SP Ace A55, but also beating the read speed of the SAMSUNG 860 EVO, but the SAMSUNG 860 EVO has better write performance.
