Rendering Performance
We will now take a look at how rendering performance compares.
Cinebench R23
In Cinebench R23 multi-core testing the result for the Ryzen 5 7600X is 15245. This is faster than the Ryzen 7 5800X3D but is underneath pretty much every CPU, including the Core i5-12600K. Compared to the last generation Ryzen 5 5600X the new Ryzen 5 7600X is 37% faster.
The Ryzen 5 7600X does better in single-core testing here, where it is actually above the i7-12700K. Compared to the Ryzen 5 5600X the new 7600X is 28% faster.
Blender Open Data Benchmark
Take note, the Blender Open Data Benchmark has changed, it now runs 3 scenes and spits out a “Samples per Minute” number, where higher samples are better.
In Blender Benchmark, in the monster scene, the Ryzen 5 7600X is on par with the Ryzen 7 5800X which is impressive considering that is an 8-core CPU. The Core i5-12600K does beat out the new 7600X, however. Compared to the last generation Ryzen 5 5600X the new 7600X is 39% faster.
In Blender Benchmark, in the junkshop scene, the Ryzen 5 7600X is at the lower-end spectrum of the graph. It’s faster than the last generation but does about equal Ryzen 7 5800X3D performance, which again is an 8-core CPU. However, the Intel Core i5-12600K once again is beating it. Compared to the last generation Ryzen 5 5600X the new 7600X is 34% faster.
In Blender Benchmark, classroom scene, the new Ryzen 5 7600X is again competitive with the Ryzen 7 5800X. The Intel Core i5-12600K though does still slightly edge out performance. Compared to the previous 5600X the new 7600X is 41% faster.
V-RAY 5 Benchmark
In V-RAY 5 benchmark the Ryzen 5 7600X is faster than the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and right under the 5800X, which is impressive since it has fewer cores. The Core i5-12600K is faster, however. Compared to the last generation 5600X the new 7600X is 39% faster.
HandBrake
In HandBrake we are testing video transcoding/encoding performance. The new Ryzen 5 7600X increases performance quite a bit over the last generation Ryzen 5 5600X. It improves encoding time by 3 whole minutes. It actually beats the 5800X, which again has more cores. However, the Intel Core i5-12600K once again is faster than the 7600X and shaves off 1.2 minutes of time.
