Power & Temperature
On this page, we are going to explore the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D CPU power and temperature. We will do full-load testing in Cinebench 2026 for Multi-Core power and temperature. All of our data has been captured with HWiNFO64.
CPU Power
The AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D has a TDP of 120W and a PPT of 162W. However, when running a full-load Multi-Core rendering test like this, the CPUs cannot spin up to the maximum frequency at all cores, and the power profile is much different. In this scenario, because of the 3D V-Cache, both the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D and AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPUs have the lowest Wattage package power in an all-core workload. This means, technically, the Ryzen 7 7700X3D will save you more power when crunching multi-core workloads. It is a stark difference from the power demand of the Ryzen 7 7700X. The Ryzen 7 7700X3D uses 43% less power than the Ryzen 7 7700X and 11% less power than the Ryzen 7 7700. The Ryzen 7 7700X3D also uses 6% less power than the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and 8% less power than the Ryzen 7 9700X.
Temperature
In temperature, the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D stays very cool at 75.6, which is slightly cooler than the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. It is warmer, however, than the Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 7 7700. However, it is again a stark difference with the temp of the Ryzen 7 7700X which can climb way up there on temp. The Ryzen 7 7700X3D is 22% cooler in temperature.
